FREESTYLE

There’s loads of freestyle shenanigans going on for those who want to give rails and jumps a go at the University of Birmingham.

We welcome any freestyle ability to join in, from beginners to experienced park riders, supporting riders to achieve their level best, such as podium positions at BUDS, BUiSC and BUSC Main Event. Brumski has represented in the NUCO Academy sponsored riders roster every year since the program’s inception, a program hugely encouraged for any freestyle nut out there.

Freestyle Sessions

SWADLINCOTE & KIDSGROVE DRY SLOPE

Every other Week we go to Swadlincote or Kidsgrove dryslopes for chilled Freestyle sessions to try out kickers, rails and boxes.

TAMWORTH SNOWDOME

Every other Tuesday Brumski go to Tamworth Snowdome to ride the freestyle park with discounted rates.

TRAMPOLINE SESSIONS/STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

Every so often Brumski take to the University’s gymnasium to learn new tricks on the trampoline and into the foam pits! For AU athletes, there is opportunity every week for subsidised gymnasium time to work on aspects such as core strength.

AIR BAG TRIPS – GLOUCESTER

Brumski take trips to the giant air bag at Gloucester’s ski centre where freestylers can go big and not get hurt!

We also run trips to other nearby snowdomes such as SnoZone at Milton Keynes and Chill Factor in Manchester.

Freestyle captain Toby will be on hand with informal coaching and we also have loads of other great skiers and snowboarders who are more than willing to give you tips on how to improve your technique and learn new tricks!

There is also an opportunity to compete in freestyle at:

  • BUDS @ Edinburgh (4th-6th November)
  • BUISC @ Milton Keynes (February 2017)
